Hotels still forcing gay couples into single beds

Gay Welcome, Jul 25

Many of us have experienced it - that awkward moment at a hotel reception desk when you realise your booking for a double bed has been changed to two singles. And according to a new survey, it's still happening at hotels all over Europe and the World. A survey of 350 gay travellers combined with an analysis of 5,000 gay travel reservations found that 20% had experienced a 'problem' due to being gay. The most consistent problem reported was being shunted into two single beds.
