Brussels 'Carpet of Flowers' coming this August

From August 15 to 17, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Turkish immigration in Belgium, a huge Turkish rug made of 800,000 begonias, tightly packed together, will be laid within the main square of Brussels. The event was started in the 1970s to promote Belgium's 'begonia industry'. In any case, it should make for some pretty stunning photos - and make Brussels an even bigger draw this summer for all of us flower-lovers...
