Europe's biggest city hosts one of its liveliest and biggest gay pride festivals - London Gay Pride - with a huge march through the centre of London and 'stages' set up in Trafalgar Square, Soho's Golden Square and Dean Street. Apart from huge floats, outrageous drag queens and lethermen, groups from London and the UK's gay community will be represented. Pride in London's march is on Saturday and sets off at 1pm, from just north of Oxford St close to Marble Arch, and weaves its way through the West End down Regent Street to Westminster. The route is normally lined with thousands of well-wishers and tourists, and makes for a really fun and friendly day out. London Gay Pride will feature plenty of acts performing at all the main stages at the end of the march.
Europe's most international city is also one of its gayest - with superb new gay bars, clubs and saunas popping up all the time. Check out our guide to the 'big smoke’.
